Buzz Rickson's is a Japanese brand that's counted among the few high-end reproduction manufacturers of military garments and casual wear in the world. They strive to make true replicas by carefully researching and analyzing original vintage garments and make every effort to duplicate the material used paying close attention to technique, quality and details.
The denim Daisy Mae was worn by the US-Army as a field hat in the 30s to the 60s and it's a great hat that will whit stand rough wear and be easy to tuck in ones bag to bring it wile exploring the outdoors!
The fabric is a nice and sturdy 8,2 oz cotton herringbone twill, a fabric that got its name because the texture resembles the skeleton of a herring. This weaving technique is most commonly used in wool textiles and for more dressed up suits, but during the 40 and 50s it was also used in the military and and in workwear garments and that's where this jacket find its inspiration. The cotton herringbone fabric was referred to as the "HBT twill".
